The two words used as a shield for cowardice: ‘No comment’!. Seriously, it is not as if the listener lacks perception. Your comment is your defence, your only way to try and gather whatever is left of your dignity. But no, you choose to sink even lower and hide behind not being able to comment.

There is something good about people. They forgive a willing heart. They are ready to laugh at you in the split second, but should you show remorse, they come around and show some empathy. Of course, it is not guaranteed that because you tell the truth then you will not suffer the consequence. Not at all. Sometimes, freedom comes from taking responsibility. Being bold enough to tell…to comment.

It is not a sign of weakness, but rather a sign of maturity. Yes, the consequences may be unpleasant. But you will come out the situation a better person. A commenting person, acknowledging that you are in fact in need of commenting.

It is the comment that may drive you towards your next lesson: eating humble pie. This is huge! However, should you choose not to comment, you will likely go through life, bearing the scars on your soul. Wondering if every whisper is about the ‘no comment’. For such a one, there is no balm to heal the wounds.

So, next time you are faced with a comment, go ahead, let the cat out of the bag, learn something. Break the yoke of no comment and just comment. Aahh! You will likely find a heart ready to take the comment and bury the hatchet.

So come on fellas, how about a comment!
